Part-Time Veterinarian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Deliver compassionate, Fear Free–aligned in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care services.

• Offer in-home euthanasia and hospice support for elderly and terminally ill pets.

• Assist and guide families through end-of-life choices and procedures.

• Foster relationships with local veterinary clinics to serve as an extension of their care.

• Operate independently in the field while receiving support from medical leadership and Veterinary Care Specialists.

• Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation is maintained.

• Collaborate with medical leadership and support teams effectively.

• Engage in ongoing training, education, and clinical development activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS) from an accredited veterinary institution.

• Active veterinary license in the state where practice occurs, or the ability to obtain one.

• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.

• Availability to work some weekends as part of a rotating schedule.

• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

• Subject to a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check post-hire and before the start date.

• Compassionate, emotionally intelligent, and focused on client needs.

• Comfortable working autonomously in the field.

• Strong communication skills during emotionally sensitive situations.

• Experience in hospice, palliative care, or Fear Free certification is beneficial but not mandatory.
