Part-Time Veterinarian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Deliver compassionate, Fear Free–aligned in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care.

• Offer care for geriatric and terminally ill pets.

• Assist and guide families through end-of-life decisions and processes.

• Establish relationships with local veterinary clinics as an extension of their services.

• Operate independently in the field while receiving support from medical leadership, Veterinary Care Specialists, and operational teams.

• Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation is maintained.

• Collaborate with medical leadership and support teams.

• Engage in ongoing training, education, and clinical development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS) from an accredited veterinary institution.

• Active veterinary license in the state of practice, or the ability to obtain one.

• Valid U.S. driver’s license.

• Willingness to work some weekends as part of a rotating schedule.

• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

• Background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check required post-hire and before the start date.

• Compassionate, emotionally intelligent, and client-focused demeanor.

• Comfortable with independent work in the field.

• Strong communication skills in emotionally sensitive situations.

• Experience in hospice, palliative care, or Fear Free certification is advantageous, though not mandatory.
