Part Time Systems Engineer Co-Op

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Engage in monthly seminars aimed at enhancing involvement.

• Fulfill training requirements set by Raytheon.

• Participate in activities related to security clearance.

• Connect with a mentor for guidance.

• Dedicate 2–4 hours monthly to assist with co-op activities.

• Contribute to mission concepts and technologies specific to customer domains.

• Acquire knowledge on systems engineering principles, including requirements, architecture, design, and testing.

• Understand software engineering methodologies, the application of artificial intelligence, and agile development practices.

• Gain foundational knowledge in platform/software infrastructure, including continuous integration and delivery.

• Provide support for mockup hardware, sustainment/depot returns, and repairs.

• After thorough on-the-job training, assist with RF Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Systems Integration & Testing throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Transition to a full-time onsite role in Aurora, Colorado, after graduation and security clearance approval, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of systems for customer missions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior or postgraduate student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, graduating/completing studies by December 2027.

• At least 90 credit hours completed by the start of the internship/co-op session.

• Academic or internship experience involving hands-on testing of electronic devices.

• Familiarity with troubleshooting electronic-related technical challenges in academic, internship, or hobby environments.

• Proficiency in using standard commercial testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.

• Experience with data analysis using tools like MATLAB.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

• Active and existing DoD TS/SCI clearance is required from day one.
