Part-Time Staff Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform remote order entry, verification of orders, and drug validation.

• Offer patient counseling as necessary.

• Navigate through various pharmacy information systems.

• Provide drug-related information and therapeutic recommendations to healthcare providers.

• Evaluate the appropriateness of medications, including dosing adjustments for renal/hepatic conditions, interactions, and compatibilities.

• Assist specialized populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant/nursing patients, individuals with HIV, and those with renal/hepatic issues.

• Keep updated on IV therapies, TPN, cardiac/narcotic infusions, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and more.

• Accurately document clinical interventions and actions in a timely manner.

• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients.

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, pharmacy laws, and client policies.

• Engage in ongoing training related to clinical practices, PIS, and policy updates.

• Meet established productivity and quality benchmarks.

• Provide telepharmacy services to multiple hospitals across various states.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required; PharmD is preferred.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is required.

• Must hold an active and valid pharmacist license in IL, IN, MO, IA, and/or KS.

• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses is necessary.

• Strong clinical expertise and ability to work efficiently across multiple systems.

• Flexibility to work part-time hours, which may include evenings, nights, and/or weekends.

• High-speed cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload is required for remote work.

• Capability to operate across VPNs, automation systems, and various pharmacy information systems.

• Proficiency in Google Suite/Microsoft Office and Snagit is essential.

• Must maintain all necessary licenses, credentials, and access to systems.
