Part-Time Learning Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +31 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage a designated weekly appointment schedule throughout the year.

• Participate in scheduled one-on-one and group video and conference sessions with both undergraduate and graduate students.

• Assist in the development of transferable academic and content-related skills, promoting student success.

• Create, update, and lead group video conferencing sessions in areas with high demand for content.

• Track progress with relationship-based students and establish both long-term and short-term skill-development objectives.

• Develop resources for SNHU's Academic Resource Center, which includes videos, static handouts, workshops, and interactive online materials.

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and collaborate with the UX and Asset Management teams.

• Enhance understanding of university supports and resources.

• Make a positive impact on the retention and success of online students through outstanding support and engaging learning experiences.

• Ensure the confidentiality of student records and information.

• Conduct work shifts in a dedicated, quiet space with reliable internet access.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Over 2 years of experience in facilitating adult learning experiences, both one-on-one and in group settings.

• Current proficiency in a high-demand content area such as general math, business, or IT/STEM.

• A quiet workspace with dependable hard-wired internet access.

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing tools and technologies.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Availability during nights and weekends as required by business needs.

• Must reside in and work from one of the approved states.
