
Part-Time After Hours Staff Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Conduct remote order entries, validate orders, and verify medications
• Offer patient counseling as necessary
• Operate within various pharmacy information systems
• Deliver drug information and therapeutic recommendations to healthcare providers
• Evaluate medication suitability, dosage adjustments for renal/hepatic conditions, interactions, and compatibilities
• Assist specialized patient groups including pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant/nursing individuals, HIV patients, and those with renal/hepatic impairments
• Accurately and promptly document interventions and clinical actions
• Engage in communication with physicians, nursing staff, and patients
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, pharmacy laws, and client policies
• Participate in continuous clinical training, PIS, and policy updates
• Achieve productivity and quality benchmarks
• Provide telepharmacy services to multiple hospitals from a remote setting
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required; PharmD is preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital pharmacy is required
• Must possess an active and valid state pharmacist license in IL, IN, MO, IA, and/or KS
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses is required
• Strong clinical expertise and comfort with various systems
• Availability to work part-time hours, which may include evenings, overnight shifts, and/or weekends
• Reliable internet connection via cable broadband or fiber optic service with a minimum of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speed for remote work
• Maintain necessary licenses, credentials, and system access
• Knowledge of IV therapies, TPN, cardiac/narcotic infusions, IV antibiotics, and chemotherapy
• Familiarity with VPNs, automation systems, various pharmacy information systems, Google Suite/Microsoft Office, and Snagit
