This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Provide thorough and strategic management of pharmacy services for designated areas.
• Supervise, mentor, facilitate, plan, and oversee pharmacy practice activities.
• Collaborate on the development, implementation, and enhancement of pharmacy practice and related services.
• Coordinate patient care throughout the continuum.
• Oversee pharmacy practice, medication utilization processes, and transitions of care.
• Empower, motivate, and mentor pharmacy leaders and staff.
• Guide optimized, effective, and patient-centered pharmacy services.
• Assess current pharmacy practices and strategize new program implementations.
• Support the professional development of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians as key members of the healthcare team.
• Engage in staff performance management, development, recruitment, and hiring processes.
• Maintain standards, clinical and operational activities, and performance measurement tools.
• Analyze medication utilization, costs, and trends in changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and administrative partners on medication management initiatives.
• Oversee evidence-based cost-containment measures and cost-saving medication therapies.
• Manage financial performance, budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts for assigned areas.
• Monitor revenue/expense, staff productivity, and clinical outcomes using metrics and quality data.
• Establish, monitor, communicate, and enhance system performance parameters.
• Ensure adherence to accreditation, regulatory, and corporate compliance standards.
• Maintain and audit department policies, clinical procedures, and operational processes.
• Ensure the establishment of appropriate collaborative practice agreements.
• Oversee the clinical components of the Caresite Specialty Patient Management Program.
• Lead and develop the Performance Improvement Program in conjunction with Human Resources.
• Direct corporate compliance activities for Caresite Specialty Rx.
• Ensure adherence to local and federal regulations as well as corporate policies.
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required.
• Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing people, processes, or projects is required.
• At least 7 years of related work experience is required.
• Demonstrated mentoring skills.
• Proficient office administration skills.
• Ability to oversee pharmacy practice, medication utilization processes, and transitions of care.
• Capability to ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and corporate standards.
• Ability to develop, implement, and manage budgets and business plans.
• Proficient in analyzing medication utilization, costs, metrics, and quality data.
• Capability to develop evidence-based cost-containment measures and cost-saving medication therapies.
