Paralegal – Contracts, Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and organize the contract repository, monitoring essential dates, renewal conditions, and obligations.

• Execute due diligence assessments and highlight risk provisions, non-standard clauses, or compliance issues for attorney evaluation.

• Assist in the development and upkeep of contract templates.

• Provide comprehensive litigation support, encompassing intake and deadline scheduling.

• Manage discovery processes, including document gathering, review, privilege logs, and production utilizing e-discovery platforms.

• Draft and format pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence under attorney guidance.

• Collaborate with external counsel regarding case logistics and filings.

• Perform legal and factual research and review case files as necessary.

• Ensure prompt e-filing and adherence to local court regulations and procedures.

• Balance and oversee a diverse caseload of contract and litigation matters concurrently.

• Uphold strict confidentiality of sensitive legal, business, and client data.

• Assist with special projects, audits, and initiatives aimed at improving processes within the Legal Department.

• Help with budget monitoring and invoice assessment for external counsel engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.

• A minimum of 4–6 years of paralegal experience, showcasing expertise in both contracts/transactional work and litigation support.

• Solid understanding of civil procedures.

• Familiarity with e-discovery tools (e.g., DocuSign).

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.

• Willingness to learn new legal technology platforms.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Keen attention to detail and precision.

• Capability to manage several priorities and deadlines in a dynamic legal setting.

• Notary Public certification is a plus.
