Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct interviews with clients, review medical records, and create compelling memos to advocate for their disability claims with the SSA.

• Collaborate with local representatives of clients to locate any missing documentation at the SSA.

• Foster relationships with clients and ensure that caseloads are managed effectively.

• Work alongside attorneys to develop case strategies.

• Recognize inefficient workflows, suggest enhancements, gain team support, and implement improvements.

• Assist the Marketing team in identifying clients who can provide testimonials.

• Participate in user testing for new tools intended for Product development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in a professional capacity that involved significant client interaction (such as a case manager) or engagement with lawyers (like a paralegal).

• A resourceful team player eager to embrace the dynamic nature of a startup environment, learn rapidly, and actively contribute.

• Comfortable engaging in personal conversations; demonstrating empathy and kindness towards individuals in distress, while being organized and considerate when dealing with attorneys.

• A strong dedication to making a positive impact and assisting others.

• Professional background in helping individuals apply for government benefits (this is a bonus/nice-to-have).

• Experience within a startup or similarly fast-paced, adaptable environment (this is a bonus/nice-to-have).

• Must currently reside in the United States.
