Paralegal – 6 Month FTC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Offer guidance and support on commercial contracts, supplier agreements, data protection, governance, and corporate functions.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Compliance, Product, Information Security, AI, and other stakeholder teams to mitigate legal risks and promote business goals.

• Assist in the review, negotiation, and management of SaaS customer agreements and associated contractual documents.

• Evaluate supplier contracts and advise on legal risks and obligations.

• Aid stakeholders in resolving contractual disputes and negotiations.

• Contribute to data protection initiatives, including the review and negotiation of Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).

• Support the management of intellectual property and related legal issues.

• Assist with legal activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and the rationalization of entities.

• Help with vendor due diligence and completion of legal questionnaires.

• Back risk management, corporate governance efforts, policies, and internal controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• A legal qualification, paralegal qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Understanding of commercial contracts within a SaaS or technology context.

• Knowledge of data protection and privacy laws.

• Experience in supporting legal functions in a commercial setting.

• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

• Capability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a keen attention to detail.

• Desirable: Experience in supporting M&A or post-acquisition integration efforts.

• Desirable: Background in intellectual property issues.

• Desirable: Experience in supporting procurement or vendor contracting processes.

• Desirable: Familiarity with US law.

• Desirable: Experience related to AI matters within the SaaS landscape.

• Desirable: Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) implementation.
