Outside Property Associate – Claims Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Engage in structured training sessions that encompass insurance policies, claims procedures, systems, and protocols.

• Examine, investigate, and document first-party property claims under close supervision.

• Collect information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party service providers.

• Investigate and assess pertinent facts and documents, including leases, contracts, and by-laws.

• Evaluate and apply coverage for building damages in accordance with policy specifications.

• Establish precise scopes of damage for losses to buildings and contents.

• Create written estimates and/or utilize computer-assisted estimating tools.

• Ensure timely and professional communication with clients, claimants, and internal stakeholders.

• Maintain accurate records of claim activities within claim management systems.

• Pursue ongoing learning, especially in areas related to AI and digital transformation.

• Adapt to the implementation of new technologies, system upgrades, and digital tool introductions.

• Take part in catastrophe deployments as needed.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, coupled with one year of customer service experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Prior internship or work experience in customer service or the insurance sector.

• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license as required by state law.

• Valid driver's license.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Eagerness to learn claims management and estimating software.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions within defined authority.

• Outstanding customer service skills.

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills; capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.

• Basic conflict resolution skills.

• Ability to access and inspect all areas of a dwelling or structure, carry, set up, and climb a 38–49-pound ladder, walk on roofs, and enter confined spaces.

• Generally required Insurance License(s) must be obtained within three months of starting the position, with ongoing continuing education maintained as mandated.

• Acquisition and maintenance of Insurance License(s) and/or a UAS Remote Pilot Certification may be necessary.

• Willingness to participate in the Catastrophe Response Program and deploy to assist customers in other states.
