Oracle Cloud PPM & SCM Functional Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Facilitate requirements and design workshops for designated SCM modules and Oracle Cloud PPM, steering fit/gap analysis towards documented and approved designs.

• Execute hands-on configuration of Oracle Cloud SCM modules in accordance with the established solution architecture.

• Implement hands-on configuration of Oracle Cloud PPM, encompassing Project Foundation, Project Costing, Project Billing and Contracts, Project Budgets and Forecasts, and Capital Projects.

• Create project structures, project types, expenditure types, burden schedules, and transaction controls that align with the client's operational and reporting framework.

• Manage integration points among project-driven procurement, inventory and manufacturing, labor cost distribution, Fixed Assets capitalization, and AR/GL revenue and billing processes.

• Conduct fit/gap evaluations and recommend configuration-first solutions prior to considering extensions or alternative approaches.

• Develop and maintain Functional Design Documents (FDDs), configuration workbooks, and process flows adhering to SC&H documentation standards.

• Define master data and conversion requirements for SCM and PPM.

• Validate converted data during each mock cycle.

• Create test scenarios and oversee System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, including defect triage and retesting management.

• Provide train-the-trainer sessions and assist in developing end-user training materials and job aids.

• Oversee daily priorities of supply chain and project analysts, evaluate their work, and foster their professional development.

• Assist with cutover execution, hypercare, and production support following go-live.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in supply chain functions.

• More than 5 years of experience in Oracle Projects functions.

• At least 2 complete life-cycle implementations of Oracle Cloud (Fusion) SCM.

• At least 2 complete life-cycle implementations of Oracle Cloud PPM.

• Proficient hands-on SCM configuration experience in at least two of the following areas: Inventory Management, Procurement, Order Management, Manufacturing, Planning, or Cost Management.

• Hands-on PPM configuration expertise in Project Costing and at least one of the following: Project Billing and Contracts, Project Budgets and Forecasts, or Capital Projects/CIP capitalization.

• Robust understanding of procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and inventory management.

• Strong grasp of project accounting principles, including cost collection, burdening, commitments, budgetary control, revenue recognition methodologies, and capitalization.

• Knowledge of how PPM interacts with Procurement, Payables, Fixed Assets, Receivables, and General Ledger, including Subledger Accounting (SLA) behavior for project transactions.

• Experience in drafting functional documentation, including FDDs, test scripts, and configuration workbooks.

• Proven experience in facilitating workshops with process owners, finance, and PMO stakeholders.

• Experience in leading or conducting SIT/UAT testing cycles with a structured approach to defect management.

• Oracle Cloud SCM and Oracle Cloud PPM certifications are preferred.

• Familiarity with project-driven supply chain processes in Oracle Cloud.

• Exposure to Grants Management or accounting requirements related to government and nonprofit projects.

• Proficiency in FBDI data loads and OTBI reporting from a functional perspective.

• Consulting experience with direct client-facing delivery responsibilities.

• Experience mentoring junior consultants or analysts.

• APICS/ASCM certification or a comparable supply chain credential is a plus.
