Operations Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain new and replacement content sources across various content types.

• Conduct comprehensive end-to-end troubleshooting for both digital and print formats.

• Examine XML, HTML, Word, InDesign, and PDF input data for accurate conversion handling and metadata integrity.

• Address XML markup and structural challenges across different content types.

• Ensure that outputs conform to product specifications and the behavior of downstream platforms.

• Design and implement User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and test cases.

• Confirm both functional and non-functional requirements throughout content and platform workflows.

• Monitor, categorize, prioritize, and confirm defects utilizing tools such as Azure DevOps.

• Enhance and maintain QA checklists, business rules, and acceptance criteria.

• Supervise content data pipelines from editorial stages through to conversion for customer-ready delivery.

• Identify and resolve data, conversion, and integration challenges.

• Collaborate with Editorial, Product, Engineering, QA, IT, vendors, and offshore partners.

• Investigate and address customer-related issues.

• Recognize and promote automation and AI-driven workflow enhancements.

• Participate in modernization and migration projects by assessing impacts, dependencies, and risks.

• Aid in the enhancement of conversion frameworks, blueprints, and workflows.

• Maintain thorough documentation, standards, and governance.

• Clearly communicate issues, risks, decisions, and their impacts.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of experience in content operations, digital publishing, technical operations, project management, or a related field.

• Practical experience with XML, XSD, and troubleshooting markup.

• Knowledge of XSLT/XPath.

• Background in monitoring content data flows and addressing production-related issues.

• Strong systems thinking abilities and troubleshooting expertise.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.

• Demonstrated skills in cross-functional collaboration and communication.

• Experience with automation and AI-enhanced workflows.

• Strong documentation capabilities.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Jira is an advantage.
