Operations Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain new and replacement content sources across various content types.

• Conduct comprehensive conversion troubleshooting from source input to customer-ready content in both digital and print formats.

• Examine XML, HTML, Word, InDesign, and PDF input data for effective conversion handling and metadata accuracy.

• Address XML markup and structural challenges across different content types.

• Ensure that outputs meet product specifications and function correctly on downstream platforms.

• Design and implement User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and test cases.

• Validate both functional and non-functional requirements throughout workflows.

• Monitor and manage defects utilizing tools like Azure DevOps.

• Enhance and refine QA checklists, business rules, and acceptance criteria.

• Oversee content data pipelines and troubleshoot data, conversion, and integration issues.

• Foster cross-functional collaboration to resolve challenges.

• Investigate and address customer-related concerns.

• Recognize and promote automation and AI-driven workflow enhancements.

• Contribute to modernization and migration efforts.

• Assist in refining conversion frameworks, blueprints, and workflows.

• Maintain documentation, standards, and governance protocols.

• Communicate issues, risks, decisions, and their impacts effectively.

• Collaborate with Editorial, Product, Engineering, IT, vendors, and offshore teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of experience in content operations, digital publishing, technical operations, project management, or a related field.

• Practical experience with XML, XSD, and troubleshooting markup.

• Familiarity with XSLT/XPath.

• Experience in monitoring content data flows and addressing production challenges.

• Strong systems thinking coupled with effective troubleshooting abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

• Demonstrated skills in cross-functional collaboration and communication.

• Experience with automation and AI-driven workflows.

• Strong documentation abilities.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Jira is an advantage.
