Operations Analyst, Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of payroll processing across LATAM and US systems, which includes contractor payments and payroll reconciliation.

• Oversee employee expenses, corporate card usage, receipts, approvals, and reimbursements.

• Assist with monthly closing processes through journal entries, reconciliations, invoice tracking, and follow-up on accounts receivable.

• Ensure accurate and reconciled financial data across all relevant systems.

• Collaborate with the Head of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and conducting ad hoc financial analyses.

• Investigate any discrepancies and address underlying issues.

• Develop and maintain Able’s leadership dashboard, encompassing revenue, pipeline, retainer health, utilization, and cash flow.

• Create and establish recurring weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for leadership.

• Define and document business metrics while ensuring consistent definitions of data.

• Conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making.

• Monitor data quality across HubSpot or Attio, Deel, and Greenhouse, facilitating issue resolution as needed.

• Transform fragmented data into actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in finance operations, financial analysis, business operations, or a similar analytical position.

• Practical experience with payroll processes, expense management, and monthly financial closing procedures.

• Proficient analytical skills and advanced capabilities in spreadsheet management.

• Familiarity with SQL and/or business intelligence tools like Metabase, Looker Studio, or comparable software.

• Experience in creating dashboards, reports, or analyses for leadership audiences.

• Exceptional attention to detail and comfort in dealing with financial data.

• Knowledge of Deel, Justworks, HubSpot, Attio, Greenhouse, or similar systems.

• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

• Capability to manage tasks independently within a rapidly growing environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Availability during standard business hours as required.

• Experience supporting US and LATAM payroll or finance operations is a plus.

• Background in startup, service-based businesses, or lean operational settings is advantageous.

• Experience in establishing reporting processes or analytics capabilities from the ground up is a plus.

• Background in financial planning, forecasting, or budgeting is beneficial.

• Familiarity with AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT is an added advantage.
