This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute month-end closing processes for designated locations, encompassing accruals and journal entries.
• Analyze and present financial results to operations and leadership teams.
• Act as the financial expert for customers regarding invoicing and external budgeting cycles.
• Review monthly expense postings and prepare reclassifications as necessary.
• Collaborate with Travel Coordinators to uphold reporting and records for invoicing support.
• Prepare and dispatch monthly customer invoices along with supporting documentation.
• Develop, analyze, and present internal budgets, periodic forecasts, and flash reports.
• Generate periodic and on-demand financial reports utilizing ERP systems, worksheets, and manually gathered data.
• Create and assess labor productivity reports and metrics.
• Coordinate with HR concerning employee positions, tasks, and financial coding.
• Engage with temporary staffing agencies to verify contracted hours, pay/bill rates, and invoicing.
• Identify and execute projects aimed at enhancing or automating processes.
• Review and authorize accounts payable invoices for payment processing.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
• More than 5 years of experience in finance or accounting is essential.
• Experience in Logistics or Contract Logistics is advantageous but not obligatory.
• High-level proficiency in financial modeling, which includes internal and external budgeting and forecasting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets are required.
• Familiarity with data query/data management tools is a plus, though not essential.
• Experience with ERP software, preferably SAP, is beneficial but not necessary.
• Strong comprehension of company P&L, balance sheets, lease vs. buy decisions, accruals, and financial analysis/reporting.
• Excellent time-management abilities are crucial.
• Must be comfortable in a quantitatively intensive role.
• Detail-oriented with the capacity to solve problems and streamline functions both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed for customer interactions and senior leadership engagements.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and work autonomously is essential.
• A creative and positive mindset is desirable.
• Must be adept at creating and documenting processes in a newly established position.
• Must successfully pass relevant federal, state, local government, airport, or company background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.
