Open-Source Gender Investigator – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Perform OSINT and SOCMINT investigations into the information landscape of Sudan.

• Utilize SOCMINT tools for audience analysis and to gather insights about the audience.

• Examine and document ethnic and gender-based hate speech, Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior, and other violations of platform policies.

• Investigate the exploitation of gender and identity on social media in relation to conflicts in Sudan and similar contexts.

• Monitor, archive, and authenticate open-source information.

• Enter and categorize information in project databases according to established criteria.

• Safeguard and archive data in compliance with project standards.

• Analyze data from various sources alongside other investigators.

• Develop detailed analytical reports on hate speech, trends, and dynamics.

• Assist in the design and creation of high-quality reports that elucidate insights, evidence, and methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Arabic is required; familiarity with the Sudanese Dialect is highly preferred.

• Experience utilizing open-source intelligence (OSINT) and social media analysis (SOCMINT) tools and techniques, including social media monitoring, narrative analysis, and stakeholder and network mapping.

• Proven experience in gathering, verifying, and documenting evidence of Ethnic and Gendered Hate Speech, Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior, and other platform violations.

• Previous experience conducting OSINT research focused on Sudan and/or East Africa.

• Capacity to work autonomously, including effective time management and task prioritization.

• Submission of a CV and completion of application form questions are required.

• Must provide original work and experience; the use of AI to fabricate or misrepresent skills, complete CIR tests, or assist during interviews is prohibited.
