Onsite Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Manage macOS devices utilizing Microsoft Intune, encompassing enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, application deployment, and user assignment.

• Strategize and implement macOS upgrades, ensuring adherence to minimum OS and build specifications to meet Cyber Essentials Plus standards.

• Provide ongoing enrollment and user support following significant macOS updates.

• Oversee Mac application packaging, updates, and remote settings through scripting and automation when necessary.

• Diagnose and address Mac-related incidents and requests, including enrollment, password recovery, VPN/access challenges, application errors, and device resets or wipes.

• Analyze vulnerability reports and implement remediation to align with Cyber Essentials Plus standards.

• Partner with Security, Architecture, Identity, Service Management, and vendors on risk assessment and changes.

• Maintain both technical and user-facing documentation.

• Engage in root cause analysis and propose service enhancements.

• Adhere to ITIL/ITSM protocols for incident, problem, and change management.

• Achieve established service levels and provide support for out-of-hours activities as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in supporting macOS within an enterprise setting.

• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Intune related to Mac and mobile device management, application deployment, and policy enforcement.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, including management of escalated incidents.

• Familiarity with Azure AD / Entra ID, Active Directory integration, and Mac identity or access dependencies.

• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear manner to non-technical users and stakeholders.

• Experience in Mac application packaging.

• Background with Apple Business Manager.

• Willingness to travel within the UK occasionally and provide shift or on-call support as required by service demands.

• Eligibility for or possession of UK Security Clearance as needed.
