Online Science Teacher – Term 2, Environmental & Physical Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Design and deliver engaging, high-quality live lessons in Environmental Science and Physical Science.

• Instruct on ecosystems and sustainability, energy, forces and motion, matter and its properties, and the connection between people and the environment.

• Assist students in understanding the scientific method, which includes formulating questions, conducting simple investigations, recording observations, and drawing conclusions.

• Utilize virtual labs, simulations, and interactive resources to foster a supportive and engaging online classroom environment.

• Evaluate student progress, offer constructive feedback, and modify teaching strategies to promote successful outcomes.

• Assign meaningful homework, activities, and assessments.

• Maintain regular and professional communication with students, families, and the CGA team regarding student progress.

• Contribute to the development of CGA's learning resources and enhance the overall student experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of teaching experience in a school environment; tutoring experience is not considered for this requirement.

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Environmental Science, Physics, Science Education, or a related discipline.

• Strong expertise in Environmental Science and Physical Science.

• Availability to commit to the full lesson schedule from January to March 2027.

• Outstanding communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and the CGA team.

• Familiarity with online teaching platforms.

• Enthusiasm for technology-enhanced education.

• A recognized teaching qualification, such as a teaching degree, license, or postgraduate certificate in education (preferred).

• Previous experience in online teaching (preferred).

• Experience teaching Environmental Science or Physical Science at the middle or high school level (preferred).

• Background in teaching an international or US curriculum (preferred).
