Online English Adjunct Faculty

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver hands-on instruction utilizing the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).

• Foster an engaging educational atmosphere through innovative teaching strategies.

• Improve the learning experience for students and help them achieve their educational objectives.

• Share professional insights with adult learners over five-week terms.

• Act as the primary contact for addressing software or technical issues faced by students.

• Conduct one live session each week via Zoom.

• Offer one live office hour weekly via Zoom.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in English or a Master’s degree accompanied by 18 graduate semester hours in the relevant discipline from a regionally accredited institution.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience is essential.

• Industry experience must have been gained within the last 5 years.

• Candidates should be available during evenings and weekends.

• A minimum of 2 years of online teaching or curriculum development experience is advantageous.

• Strong skills in online webinar presentation are a plus.

• Experience with Canvas LMS is preferred.

• Demonstrated active-learning skills for effective instruction.

• Background in a student-centered and hands-on learning environment.

• Exhibit the highest levels of integrity at all times.

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced 5-week course format.

• Approachability and the ability to quickly establish rapport.

• Attentive listening skills, capable of understanding multiple perspectives.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills along with verbal and written communication abilities.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection is mandatory.

• Responsible for providing a Windows-based computer and webcam.

• The computer system must meet ECPI University's minimum requirements.

• Required to teach one live session and hold one office hour each week via Zoom.
