Online Biology Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide personalized 1-to-1 online tutoring support in Biology for students ranging from middle school to college level.

• Offer tutoring in additional Science subjects, including Chemistry, Environmental Science, or general high school science.

• Potentially tutor Math to enhance availability in scheduling.

• Conduct flexible remote tutoring sessions for students throughout the United States.

• Engage with students to foster their academic confidence, clarity, and overall success.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional teaching or tutoring experience is essential.

• At least 1 year of relevant teaching or tutoring experience in the U.S. is mandatory.

• Must have taught or tutored within the last 2 years.

• A minimum of 1 year of online tutoring experience is necessary.

• A strong understanding of the U.S. curriculum and grading standards is required.

• Must possess a strong subject matter expertise in Biology, with the capability to tutor additional Science subjects.

• Ability to tutor Science subjects from 6th grade to college level is expected.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.

• Availability during peak hours from Monday to Thursday, 3 to 10 PM ET, is advantageous for connecting with more students.

• A fast and reliable internet connection is necessary.

• A computer or laptop equipped with a microphone and camera is required.

• A quiet and professional working environment is essential.

• Direct, professional teaching or tutoring experience with students is required; experience as a TA, peer tutor, grader, SI positions, or lab assistant only does not satisfy the requirements.
