This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Instruct the course on Introduction to Law and the Legal System from a paralegal perspective.

• Provide feedback to students about their performance throughout the duration of the course.

• Be accessible to students via phone, email, and one-on-one meetings to address questions and provide academic support.

• Respond in a timely manner to the Dean and University staff concerning performance, student issues, and faculty file/accreditation requirements.

• Employ effective teaching methodologies and a variety of instructional techniques.

• Establish an engaging, student-focused online classroom utilizing both synchronous and asynchronous communication as well as live classroom tools.

• Align class-session objectives with overall course performance goals.

• Exhibit mastery of the subject matter and clearly convey concepts to students.

• Participate in the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment strategies.

• Foster student success and assist learners in achieving course learning objectives.

• Attend events, program meetings, and committee activities as designated or mutually agreed upon with the Dean.

• Complete mandatory professional development through Rasmussen Educational Units.

• Report directly to an Academic Dean.

• Carry out other assigned tasks as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Previous teaching experience is preferred; a minimum of 3 years of experience in the relevant field is required.

• Must be self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision.

• Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective interaction with students, leadership, and colleagues.

• Exceptional written communication and strong verbal communication skills in English are required.

• Regular access to a computer that meets system requirements: Windows XP or higher and Microsoft Office 2010.

• A reliable internet connection is necessary.

• A Master’s degree in Legal Studies or a JD is required.

• Experience in Paralegal Studies is preferred.

• 2–3 years of legal experience is preferred.

• Candidates must be able to provide official transcripts for each degree obtained from an accredited institution prior to teaching.

• Must provide any required professional licenses/certifications necessary for specialized schools before teaching; all licenses must be active and in good standing.
