Oncology Sales Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Engage with customers to identify their needs and provide education to key stakeholders regarding oncology products.

• Interface with the wider oncology community to achieve or surpass designated sales targets.

• Oversee the Omaha, Nebraska territory, which includes Des Moines, Iowa.

• Travel for in-person customer visits and participate in national sales meetings and industry conferences.

• Collaborate with team members in the territory to meet or exceed assigned sales objectives.

• Meet with key stakeholders to gain insights into practice structure, business models, influencers, priorities, and needs.

• Establish business relationships and build trust to uncover customer needs.

• Utilize approved resources and messaging to communicate the patient-centered value of products for their indicated uses.

• Leverage knowledge of multidisciplinary care teams, cancer staging, treatment options, pathways, and disease guidelines.

• Analyze trends within complex purchasing environments and drug distribution channels.

• Review purchasing and prescribing patterns for products in outpatient and inpatient infusion settings, hospitals, and GPO contracts.

• Formulate and implement short- and long-term strategies with the local team and district manager.

• Ensure a unified customer experience across various divisions and functional areas.

• Share valuable insights and collaborate with the customer team, which includes the Customer Team Leader, Key Account Manager, Nurse Educator, Field Reimbursement Associate, and Medicare Account Executive.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of sales experience OR at least a high school diploma coupled with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

• Relevant experience may encompass professional sales experience, healthcare/scientific work experience (with a strong preference for oncology), professional marketing experience, or military experience.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and the capability to operate a vehicle.

• Availability for travel as needed, including overnight travel of 10–15%.

• Reside in or near the district.

• Over 2 years of field-based oncology sales experience selling oncology therapeutics to oncology customers is preferred.

• Preference for candidates with oncology field sales or clinical oncology experience.

• Documented history of strong performance in a sales/marketing or oncology clinical role is preferred.

• Less than 2 years of oncology field sales experience will be considered for S2 level; 2+ years will be considered for S3 level.

• Experience in account management, biopharmaceutical industry, building business relationships, customer engagement, CRM, data analysis, lead generation, market analysis, marketing, oncology, oncology sales, product knowledge, product portfolio management, revenue generation, sales forecasting, sales reporting, and sales training.
