This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a senior program leader, utilizing direct oncology experience to shape strategy, build trust with federal stakeholders, and enhance program results.

• Facilitate coordination among clinical, administrative, technical, and operational teams.

• Convert clinical knowledge into practical program strategies, workflow designs, and implementation plans.

• Assist in identifying and mitigating program risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as necessary.

• Create program documentation, briefing materials, and strategic communications aimed at senior leadership audiences.

• Guide and support junior project managers and workstream support personnel.

• Evaluate emerging oncology trends, innovations in care delivery, and opportunities to improve program outcomes on a larger scale.


⛳️ Requirements

• A medical doctorate is required, with a focus on oncology.

• Active or previous clinical experience with the VA is necessary.

• Direct knowledge of VA healthcare systems and their operations is essential.

• Over 15 years of experience in managing complex healthcare projects.

• A minimum of 8 years of direct experience in oncology.

• Proven experience in leading complex, multidisciplinary clinical and administrative initiatives at the national level.

• Skilled in developing structured, innovative solutions and managing large teams during implementation.

• Experience in healthcare operations management and business development is required.

• Background in creating strategic roadmaps is important.

• Knowledge of revenue cycle management is necessary.

• Familiarity with program governance, risk management, and performance measurement frameworks is expected.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions concurrently across funded hiring needs.

• Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

• Direct experience in practicing or overseeing oncology programs within the VA healthcare system is preferred.

• Understanding of the VHA organizational structure, VISN operations, and federal program management frameworks is preferred.

• Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.

• Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States without sponsorship.

• Must reside in the United States.
