This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Promote and market future expeditions to onboard guests.
• Engage guests through dining experiences, shore excursions, personalized consultations, presentations, and workshops.
• Keep updated on upcoming expeditions, itineraries, offers, and destinations.
• Act as an ambassador for National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions voyages.
• Oversee onboard marketing and merchandising in collaboration with shoreside marketing and sales teams.
• Handle bookings, maintain designated sales desk hours, follow up on leads, and coordinate with reservations and sales teams.
• Work together with the Expedition Leader, Hotel Manager, ship hospitality staff, and shoreside teams.
• Collect guest feedback and market intelligence to enhance sales strategies and future offerings.
• Monitor sales metrics and report on guest interest, conversion rates, and booking feedback.
• Remove surveys, keys, outdated collateral, and distribute in-cabin materials and guest name tags.
• Assist with cabin upgrade inquiries, guest check-in, reception desk inquiries, and base camp operations.
• Support guests with life jackets, key-card procedures, and biosecurity crowd control.
• Participate in mandatory drills and adhere to safety responsibilities.
• Host videos or presentations during end-of-day recaps when applicable.
• Complete voyage recap reports analyzing bookings, data, and revenue trends.
• Address guest inquiries related to the LEX-NG fund and perform other duties as directed by the Hotel Director.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of sales experience with a proven track record in a customer-facing sales role.
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Service-oriented mindset and the capability to customize conversations to align with guest interests and needs.
• Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
• Effective collaboration skills with onboard staff, expedition teams, and shoreside departments.
• Comfort in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and living onboard a ship for extended periods.
• Strong administrative skills, attention to detail, time management, multitasking, deadline management, and the ability to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Genuine enthusiasm for expedition-style travel and a passion for National Geographic-Lindblad destinations and experiences.
• Valid US Passport or US Permanent Resident Card along with a valid passport.
• Medical Certificate required.
• Maritime Security Awareness certification required.
• Willingness to live and work onboard for a total of 8 months within the year.
• Openness to travel to remote and challenging locations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, navigate between decks, and occasionally participate in field excursions.
• Must be able to undergo required drug tests, background checks, and post-offer physical examination; fit for sea duty is mandatory.
