Odoo Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain customizations for Odoo related to finance and project management systems, including a tailored expense application.

• Create and manage integrations with Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, and various banking systems.

• Transition historical data through scripted, repeatable loads that are validated against the source using dry runs and during cutover.

• Develop and oversee testing pipelines, including the creation of test and mock data.

• Engage daily with the Odoo Functional Consultant to discuss requirements and explore solution alternatives.

• Work alongside the Project Manager to discuss estimates, project progress, and potential risks.

• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation.

• Provide support for the system following the go-live phase.

• Utilize AI coding tools in everyday development tasks.

• Undertake additional responsibilities that align with the role's objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in Python development.

• More than 2 years of experience creating custom Odoo modules on the latest Odoo versions.

• Solid knowledge of Odoo back-end development, including ORM, inheritance, security, reporting, and scheduled actions.

• Strong skills in Odoo front-end development, particularly with OWL and JavaScript.

• Proven experience in building custom user-facing Odoo applications.

• Experience in integrating Odoo with external systems using REST APIs and Odoo’s external APIs.

• Familiarity with implementing effective error-handling mechanisms.

• Practical experience in data migration projects, including scripted and repeatable data loads, validation, and ensuring data quality.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL, Git, Linux, Docker, and best practices for Odoo deployment and maintenance.

• Strong emphasis on testing, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and managing test data.

• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.

• Professional proficiency in both English and Ukrainian.
