Nutrition Educator, Bilingual – Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct telephonic nutrition education sessions for members/patients with chronic health conditions.

• Record goals and care plans from the education sessions in the designated platform.

• Arrange follow-up calls with each member/patient.

• Create nutrition education handouts and tools as necessary.

• Identify community resources for clients as required.

• Stay informed and enhance professional knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, personal networks, and professional organizations.

• Contribute to content for social media and videos for the company newsletter, website articles, blogs, and other posts.

• Collaborate with members/patients to discuss significant nutrition-related issues and topics.

• Link members/patients to nutrition and condition resources available through health plans, systems, or community services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science or Dietetics.

• Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of residence (where applicable).

• At least 2 years of experience in providing nutrition education or counseling.

• Proficient in Spanish, with fluency in medical and nutrition terminology in the language.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.

• Competence in using standard office equipment such as laptops and smartphones.

• Ability to work autonomously with a strong sense of accountability and minimal daily oversight.

• Capability to make clinical decisions regarding the appropriateness of nutrition education for each member/patient.

• Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

• Ability to engage in sedentary work requiring prolonged sitting.

• Visual perception skills, including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
