This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Conduct telephonic nutrition education sessions for members/patients dealing with chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and kidney disease.
• Work collaboratively with members/patients to address significant nutrition-related concerns and topics.
• Link members/patients to nutritional and condition-related resources from health plans, systems, or community sources.
• Record goals and care plans from educational sessions within the platform.
• Arrange follow-up calls with members/patients.
• Create nutrition education materials and tools as necessary.
• Identify community resources available for clients.
• Keep professional knowledge up to date through educational opportunities, professional literature, networks, and organizations.
• Assist in developing content for social media, videos for the company newsletter, website, articles, blogs, and other communications.
• Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science or Dietetics.
• Certification as a Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of residence (where a license is required).
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in providing nutrition education or counseling.
• Fluency in Spanish, with proficiency in medical and nutritional terminology in the language.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient with standard office equipment, including laptops and smartphones.
• Capability to work independently with a strong sense of accountability and limited daily supervision.
• Ability to make clinical judgments regarding the suitability of nutrition education for each member/patient.
• Active licensure in the District of Columbia or Ohio is preferred.
• Previous experience in providing telephonic nutrition education or counseling is preferred.
• Training in health coaching, motivational interviewing, and intuitive/mindful eating frameworks is preferred.
• Capability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and/or finger movements.
• Ability to engage in sedentary work that involves prolonged sitting.
• Visual perception skills including peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Monthly bonus of 5% or more.
