Nurse Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver consulting services to clients across the nation and oversee assigned client facilities to ensure effective service delivery and cost efficiency.

• Guarantee on-time execution of consulting visits in accordance with contractual agreements.

• Meet the established profit and loss objectives for assigned areas.

• Prepare and submit internal reports and schedules following company protocols.

• Generate client reports post customer site visits in line with company standards.

• Maintain timely communication with leadership regarding client-related concerns.

• Engage in team meetings, committees, and conference calls.

• Stay informed on industry issues and regulations impacting the long-term care sector.

• Safeguard the confidentiality of resident and facility information.

• Conduct clinical and regulatory compliance audits, mock surveys, medical record assessments, Medicare and MDS process evaluations, and other clinically oriented consulting services.

• Take ownership of additional assigned tasks and projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse license.

• Willingness to travel to client facilities on a weekly basis (75-80% travel requirement).

• Minimum of five years of experience in long-term care is essential.

• Prior experience as a Director of Nursing, state surveyor, or regional nurse consultant is preferred.

• Familiarity with clinical compliance and regulatory oversight.

• Understanding of Medicare Part A skilled nursing facility coverage and documentation standards.

• Knowledge of the MDS 3.0 and the RAI Manual.

• Awareness of PDPM.

• Comprehension of the link between clinical documentation, coding, compliance, and reimbursement.

• Knowledge of state and federal regulations applicable to long-term care facilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdepartmental team members and engage with a diverse range of clients.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Flexibility to adapt to change and a willingness to learn new processes.
