This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop complex single-turn prompts within the nuclear sector, categorized as benign, dual-use, or adversarial.

• Assess model outputs against established policy benchmarks.

• Determine if responses appropriately addressed technical inquiries.

• Craft reference answers and elucidate the technical reasoning supporting correct answers.

• Generate prompts that evaluate whether advanced AI models can differentiate between legitimate inquiries and genuinely hazardous requests.

• Provide written justifications that are accessible to non-experts.

• Engage in reading and writing about misuse scenarios over extended periods.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of the fuel cycle and familiarity with the control, accounting, and diversion of nuclear materials.

• Experience in safeguards and nonproliferation is highly desirable.

• Relevant qualifications such as Safeguards Analyst, Nuclear Engineer (Fuel Cycle), Nuclear Security Engineer, Nuclear Forensics Scientist, or Nonproliferation Analyst.

• Proficiency in material accountancy, inspection protocols, Additional Protocol, enrichment, reprocessing, criticality, MPC&A, insider threat, physical protection design, radioxenon monitoring, attribution, detection and characterization, export control, NSG trigger lists, and acquisition and smuggling pathways, as applicable.

• Previous experience in technical writing, published research, or serving as an expert witness is a strong indicator of suitability.

• Ability to produce clear justifications that are comprehensible to non-specialists.

• Must refrain from utilizing classified, export-controlled data, NDA-restricted information, or information subject to prepublication review requirements.

• If bound by such obligations, must disclose them to ensure proper scope of work.
