This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the main point of coordination for the deployment of network infrastructure at newly built data centers, overseeing the process from the initiation of cabling to achieving Production Ready status.
• Own and manage deployment trackers for designated buildings, monitoring key milestones from Cable Ready to Production Ready.
• Facilitate weekly coordination meetings with both cross-functional and internal teams.
• Monitor dependencies across various network layers and synchronize construction and network timelines.
• Lead or co-lead New Build meetings starting from the cabling phase.
• Provide weekly program updates detailing risks, milestone accomplishments, and upcoming deadlines.
• Serve as a liaison between Construction Managers, Deployment Engineers, Connectivity Engineers, and supporting teams.
• Persuade partners to deliver and commit to deadlines.
• Manage the creation and escalation of SEVs for scheduling risks and obstacles.
• Oversee deployment across 2–4 simultaneous buildings/sites.
• Monitor hardware delivery service level agreements (SLAs), material logistics, warehouse locations, shipping, and upstream dependencies.
• Recognize and navigate the distinctions between different building types.
• Supervise and drive the resolution of deployment obstacles.
• Identify scheduling risks by utilizing SLA back-off calculations and hardware delivery timelines.
• Create and manage SEVs for deployment-related issues.
• Communicate the impacts on timelines and provide updated schedules.
• Escalate any unfulfilled cross-functional commitments to leadership.
• Aid in the standardization of templates across various building types.
• Conduct reviews to capture lessons learned.
• Mentor and train new Deployment Engineers through reverse shadowing and milestone sessions.
• Comprehensive understanding of data center network infrastructure and production network layers.
• Familiarity with rack & stack processes, provisioning, circuit audits, device scanning, and activation/undrain workflows.
• Knowledge of hardware delivery SLAs, bill of materials (BOM) management, warehouse operations, and vendor collaboration.
• Proficient in the use of project tracking tools.
• Practical experience with AI tools and agentic frameworks for workflow automation and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to influence across cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Capability to navigate political dynamics among different organizations.
• Ability to work independently in high-pressure, ambiguous situations.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex multi-site statuses into concise leadership updates.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in project or program management within data center construction, network infrastructure, telecommunications, or critical facility deployment.
• Experience managing projects valued between $1M and $10M with multiple concurrent workstreams and interdependent teams.
• Direct experience with foundation work, cabling initiation, TFO, commissioning, and network activation phases.
• Experience collaborating with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and field operations teams within a data center setting.
• Prior experience in hyperscale data centers is highly preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field — or equivalent professional experience (8+ years in data center/network deployment).
• Ability to obtain site access badges and pass background checks for data center facilities.
• Willingness to support critical deployment milestones outside of standard working hours.
