This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as the primary coordination point for the deployment of network infrastructure during new data center constructions from initial cabling to Production Ready status.
• Manage and update the New Build Deployment Tracker for designated buildings.
• Facilitate weekly New Build coordination meetings with cross-functional and internal teams.
• Monitor dependencies across various network layers.
• Synchronize construction and network timelines, aligning multiple schedule sources.
• Lead or co-facilitate New Build meetings starting from the cabling phase.
• Provide weekly program updates that outline risks, milestones achieved, and upcoming deadlines.
• Serve as a liaison between Construction Managers, Deployment Engineers, Connectivity Engineers, and supporting teams.
• Persuade partners to commit to specific timelines.
• Manage the creation and escalation of SEVs for scheduling risks and obstacles.
• Oversee network infrastructure deployment across 2 to 4 simultaneous sites.
• Monitor hardware delivery SLAs, material logistics, warehouse locations, shipping, and upstream dependencies.
• Comprehend and address variances between different building types.
• Track and drive the resolution of deployment obstacles.
• Identify scheduling risks by utilizing SLA back-off calculations and hardware delivery timelines.
• Generate and oversee SEVs for deployment obstacles.
• Communicate the impacts on timelines and any revised schedules.
• Elevate unmet cross-functional commitments to leadership attention.
• Assist in standardizing templates across various building types.
• Conduct reviews to learn from past experiences and pinpoint recurring process issues.
• Mentor and train new DEMs through reverse shadowing and milestone sessions.
• In-depth understanding of data center network infrastructure and production network layers.
• Familiarity with network deployment processes, including rack & stack, provisioning, circuit audits, device scanning, and activation/undrain workflows.
• Knowledge of material logistics such as hardware delivery SLAs, BOM management, warehouse operations, and vendor coordination.
• Competence with project tracking tools.
• Practical experience with AI tools and agentic frameworks for automating workflows and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority across multiple cross-functional teams.
• Ability to navigate political dynamics among organizations and take ownership of network deployment milestones.
• Capacity to work independently in ambiguous, high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex multi-site status for leadership summaries.
• Proven track record of driving accountability.
• 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in project or program management in data center construction, network infrastructure, telecommunications, or critical facility deployment.
• Experience managing projects valued between $1M and $10M with multiple concurrent workstreams and cross-functional dependencies.
• Direct experience with data center construction phases including foundation, cabling, TFO, commissioning, and network turn-up.
• Experience collaborating with MSPs and field operations teams in a data center setting.
• Previous experience in hyperscale data center environments is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience (8+ years in data center or network deployment).
• Ability to acquire site access badges and pass background checks for data center facilities.
• Willingness to support critical deployment milestones outside of standard working hours.
