This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Act as the main liaison for key accounts and Health Care Providers.
• Establish meaningful connections with customers and identify mutual priorities.
• Facilitate solutions that connect customers with Novartis resources to enhance patient outcomes.
• Balance demand generation efforts with strategic engagement of accounts.
• Navigate and address account challenges with customized solutions.
• Develop strategic territory plans to boost product demand and support patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office staff to meet customer needs and provide access support.
• Leverage market insights, competitive landscape knowledge, and cross-functional expertise to anticipate opportunities and tackle challenges.
• Utilize territory data and market trends to gather local insights and enhance pull-through initiatives.
• Lead significant virtual and in-person engagements with customers.
• Organize planning sessions with stakeholders to address complex challenges.
• Provide real-time access support and collaborate with Patient Specialty Services.
• Employ digital tools and omni-channel strategies to tailor outreach in both virtual and face-to-face interactions.
• Complete required initial training, including up to 8 hours of home study per day and 40 hours weekly.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required from a four-year college or university.
• Experience within the last 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, B2B sectors, or a similar complex sales role.
• Demonstrated history of consistent high performance.
• Experience engaging with and selling to large accounts and key customers.
• Analytical skills to identify, prioritize, and utilize relevant information to address customer issues.
• Ethical leadership skills and the ability to promote ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and legal standards.
• Candidates must reside within the territory or within a reasonable commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a broad geography.
• Capability to drive and/or fly within the territory.
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is mandatory.
• For associate level: recently separated from the US Military with 4+ years of military service in a leadership role or limited prior sales experience.
• For territory level: at least 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty, healthcare, or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years.
• For senior level: a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant specialty, healthcare, or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years.
• For executive level: over 10 years of experience in a relevant specialty, healthcare, or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years.
• Preferred experience includes participation in the 2-year Novartis Sales Internship Program.
• Desirable experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategies, and new product launches.
• A solid understanding of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs is advantageous.
