
Neurology Medical VA β Patient Care Coordination, Prior Authorization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
β’ Prepare and organize patient charts prior to appointments
β’ Assist around 3 patients daily, totaling 12β15 patients weekly
β’ Ensure that necessary test results, lab work, imaging, and other pertinent information are collected and integrated into patient charts
β’ Coordinate cognitive assessments, imaging, and lab work across various platforms
β’ Manage post-appointment patient communications and follow-ups
β’ Monitor outstanding patient-related tasks and guarantee timely follow-up
β’ Prepare charts for physician evaluation; the physician will finalize and sign the notes
β’ Organize and oversee care and results without clinical review, triage, or interpretation
β’ Assist with prior authorization requests for MRIs and diagnostic imaging
β’ Monitor authorization progress and any outstanding requirements
β’ Adhere to the established prior authorization workflow set by the client
β’ Track patients throughout the four-visit annual program
β’ Supervise patient progress and send reminders, check-ins, and follow-up messages
β’ Maintain spreadsheets and data trackers for patient progress and pending items
β’ Generate superbills for cash-pay patients following the designated workflow
β’ Manage spreadsheets and data tracking systems
β’ Assist with calendar and scheduling management
β’ Support email and inbox administration
β’ Help with social media postings and engagement with followers
β’ Provide general executive assistant and administrative support as necessary
β’ Prioritize clinical and patient-related duties over secondary administrative tasks
β’ Experience with EHR/EMR systems
β’ Strong organizational and follow-up capabilities
β’ Exceptional attention to detail in managing patient charts, results, authorizations, and outstanding tasks
β’ Comfortable coordinating multiple patient workflows and testing platforms
β’ Strong patient communication and administrative skills
β’ HIPAA trained and certified
β’ Dependable and consistent with professional communication skills
β’ Able to work autonomously and remain accountable in a remote setting
β’ Proactive in monitoring patient follow-ups, pending items, and deadlines
β’ Capable of communicating professionally and compassionately with patients
β’ Able to establish a trusted, professional, long-term working relationship
β’ Experience with Charm/CharmHealth is preferred; similar EHR/EMR experience will be considered
β’ Prior authorization experience for MRI or diagnostic imaging is highly preferred
β’ Familiarity with eviCore is a plus, but not mandatory
β’ Previous experience in pre-charting, patient care coordination, test-result tracking, or post-visit follow-up
β’ Experience in supporting neurology or similar healthcare workflows
β’ Must speak and write English clearly and professionally
β’ Must possess relevant work experience
β’ Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance prior to onboarding
β’ Must be available for video meetings with the camera on when required
β’ Reliable laptop or desktop computer is essential
β’ A stable high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps is required
β’ Noise-canceling headset is necessary
β’ Functional webcam is required
β’ A quiet and professional work environment is essential
