Neurology Account Manager – Parkinsons

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Design the go-to-market approach for the SPECT imaging tracer DaTscan and the quantification software DaTQUANT.

• Coordinate sales strategies with the Alzheimer’s Zone Manager counterpart.

• Increase sales revenue, enhance product differentiation, and spearhead the commercial strategy for Parkinson’s care.

• Lead a seasoned sales team that engages with hospitals and imaging centers while educating referring physicians.

• Formulate business plans and execution strategies for key imaging centers and referring physicians.

• Conduct pre-call preparations and in-call inquiries to comprehend customer needs and stimulate utilization.

• Collaborate with market access teams to refine payor contract implementation and satisfaction.

• Track territory-plan performance and relay results and action steps to cross-functional partners.

• Acquire knowledge of diagnostic algorithms and care pathways for neurodegenerative diseases.

• Communicate the Neurology team’s strategy, objectives, and planning to customers and cross-functional teams.

• Open new hospitals and imaging centers to provide DaTscan imaging services.

• Generate patient referrals through physician education, in-service programs, and speaker engagements.

• Cultivate relationships with key targets and gain access to hard-to-reach physicians.

• Compile lists of prospective customers and sales leads, following up as needed.

• Collaborate with account managers to expand prospects and secure opportunities.

• Conduct cold calls to potential customers as necessary.

• Develop pricing strategy, manage contracts, and ensure adherence to pricing compliance.

• Sell and maintain relationships between assigned pharmacies and customers.

• Forecast territory orders and sales, submitting monthly reports.

• Represent the company at trade association meetings.

• Meet individual sales targets for the assigned territory.

• Clearly convey selling messages for DaTscan, DaTQUANT, and other products in the portfolio.

• Address product-related inquiries and find expert answers when required.

• Analyze patient flow from scan requests through scheduling, procurement, interpretation, and physician reporting.

• Identify top referring prescribers and influence the use of GE Neurology imaging agents.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or valid and current certification through the NMTCB or AART.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant and progressive sales experience in a medical, healthcare, technical, pharmaceutical, or Life Sciences field is preferred.

• Experience in selling to hospitals, contracting, and buying/billing products or relevant clinical experience in a healthcare environment.

• Proven success in sales, including developing, organizing, and implementing sales plans, achieving and surpassing sales targets, and penetrating new accounts/markets/competitors through effective prospecting, lead qualification, sales, and negotiation skills.

• Demonstrated ability to meet sales objectives while adhering to regulatory guidelines.

• Proficiency in Salesforce CRM entry and opportunity management is necessary for this role.

• Strong selling skills, analytical abilities, and pharmaceutical industry knowledge.

• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities through effective organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.

• Must be willing to reside in the designated territory.

• Willingness and capability to travel overnight up to 30% of the time.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Awareness of clinical tools and the ability to drive their adoption.

• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Proficiency in applying both traditional and nontraditional problem-solving techniques.

• Ability to build rapport and foster relationships with employees and external contacts at all levels.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Exceptional organizational abilities.

• Strong presentation skills.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
