Network Planning Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Create forecasts for both new and existing volumes by taking into account historical performance, business inputs, growth expectations, and emerging trends.

• Recognize and communicate trends that could influence future demand, capacity, or resource requirements.

• Determine staffing and capacity needs based on line of business, market, skill set, or other pertinent business segments.

• Analyze forecasted versus actual results to identify discrepancies and enhance planning assumptions continuously.

• Perform capacity-to-volume and gap analyses to pinpoint excess capacity, constraints, and emerging needs.

• Conduct ad hoc capacity and skill-set assessments in response to evolving business needs and leadership inquiries.

• Develop hypothetical scenarios to assess the effects of changes in volume, staffing, productivity, skill mix, or other business assumptions.

• Identify areas requiring additional capacity or targeted skill development and provide data-driven recommendations.

• Create and maintain both recurring and ad hoc reports utilizing Looker and Google Sheets.

• Construct analytical models and reporting tools to enhance visibility into volume, capacity, staffing requirements, and operational performance.

• Observe real-time queue performance, identify service or capacity risks, and suggest or coordinate corrective measures.

• Explore performance trends and variances to uncover underlying drivers, risks, and opportunities.

• Continuously refine reporting processes, data visibility, and analytical tools.

• Convert complex analyses into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for business leaders.

• Collaborate with Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to grasp business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in capacity planning, workforce planning, business analytics, operations analytics, or a similar analytical role.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data manipulation, and analytical modeling.

• Proven experience in forecasting, capacity planning, staffing requirements, or demand analysis.

• Experience in conducting gap analyses and developing scenarios or what-if models.

• Strong background in generating operational reports and translating data into actionable insights.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to independently explore trends and business inquiries.

• Experience in creating presentations and conveying analytical findings to business and leadership audiences.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to handle both regular deliverables and ad hoc analytical requests in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with Looker, including working with Explores, dashboards, and reporting (bonus).

• Experience supporting various lines of business, markets, regions, or specialized skill sets (bonus).

• Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, Mode, or similar business intelligence tools (bonus).

• Experience in developing scalable or automated reporting solutions (bonus).
