This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and execute nondestructive inspection methodologies, techniques, and procedures.
• Configure and calibrate nondestructive testing apparatus.
• Conduct NDT assessments to verify quality and identify defects.
• Develop examination techniques while complying with safety protocols.
• Apply testing criteria based on specifications and standards, and analyze results.
• Interpret radiographs, CRT or digital displays, conductivity meters, and visual indicators.
• Organize and document testing outcomes.
• Carry out specialized inspections.
• Offer technical leadership and guidance for inspection development, procurement, and deployment projects.
• Liaise with suppliers, component designers, management, and clients.
• Train and oversee other personnel as necessary.
• Interact daily with clients regarding work priorities and project status.
• Engage in client programs, planning meetings, strategy discussions, safety initiatives, and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with clients to identify and eliminate barriers.
• Conduct volumetric weld inspections utilizing Phased Array Ultrasonics.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Diploma in a Technical Discipline from High School/GED, Trade School, Vocational, or Military Program, along with 5 years of relevant experience using NDT Techniques in Power Generation, Industrial, or Manufacturing settings.
• Competent in setting up and calibrating equipment and interpreting and evaluating results in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of the scope and limitations of the NDT methods employed.
• NDT Level II Certification (Radiography) is required.
• Certifications in UT, MT, and PT are necessary.
• Phased Array Level II Certification with a minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
• Proven capability to effectively execute assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection findings.
• Valid Driver’s License is mandatory.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a drug screening may be required.
• Willingness and ability to provide on-the-job training and mentorship to Assistants and Level I Technicians.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• IRRSP or State Card is preferred.
