This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and execute nondestructive inspection techniques, methodologies, and protocols.
• Configure and calibrate nondestructive testing apparatus.
• Carry out NDT assessments to guarantee quality and identify defects.
• Develop examination approaches while following safety guidelines.
• Implement testing benchmarks in accordance with specifications and standards, and analyze outcomes.
• Analyze radiographs, CRT or digital displays, conductivity meters, and visual indicators.
• Compile and present test findings.
• Conduct specialized inspections.
• Offer technical guidance and leadership for inspection development, acquisition, and implementation projects.
• Liaise with suppliers, component designers, and management personnel.
• Train and oversee others as necessary.
• Interact daily with clients regarding work priorities and project status.
• Engage in client programs, planning, strategic sessions, safety initiatives, and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with clients to identify and eliminate obstacles.
• Execute volumetric weld examinations using Phased Array Ultrasonics.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Diploma in a Technical Discipline from High School/GED, Trade School, Vocational, or Military Program, along with 5 years of pertinent NDT experience in Power Generation, Industrial, or Manufacturing sectors.
• Competent in setting up and calibrating equipment and interpreting and assessing results in line with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
• Understanding of the scope and limitations of the employed NDT method.
• Capability to provide on-the-job training and mentorship to Assistants and Level I Technicians.
• NDT Level II Certification (Radiography).
• Certifications in UT, MT, and PT.
• Phased Array Level II Certification, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Proven ability to complete assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection findings.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Proficient in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific field from an accredited institution is preferred.
• IRRSP or State Card is preferred.
