This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +24 more states.
• Plan, conduct, organize, and coordinate accreditation and/or certification surveys within community environments.
• Travel to home health or hospice agencies undergoing accreditation/certification assessments.
• Execute site visits in line with CHAP Standards of Excellence.
• Uphold strict confidentiality unless legally mandated otherwise.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures that govern the accreditation/certification process.
• Prepare thorough, accurate, and well-structured documentation for surveys.
• Complete all necessary activities related to site visit preparations.
• Engage in training through a travel-based preceptorship lasting 4–6 weeks during the initial two months.
• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare discipline is mandatory.
• An active Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a compliance or regulatory position within the home health or hospice sector is essential.
• At least one (1) year of leadership experience is required, including responsibilities for supervising staff and/or direct reports.
• A solid working knowledge of CMS Home Health or Hospice Conditions of Participation and associated resources is necessary.
• Exceptional attention to detail is crucial.
• Ability to produce accurate, complete, and well-crafted documentation is essential.
• Capability to work independently is required.
• Strong critical-thinking abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes.
• Availability for at least 10 survey days each month, excluding travel days.
• Willingness to commit to 4–6 consecutive travel weeks during the first two months for training (preceptorship).
• A nursing professional with a strong compliance background in home health or hospice settings.
