National Director – Facilities

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage the planning, maintenance, and operations of ClearSky’s buildings, infrastructure, and grounds.

• Supervise the Environment of Care program throughout the organization, encompassing emergency protocols, life safety, security, workplace violence, hazardous waste, equipment, and utilities.

• Create long-term facility modernization plans, capital budgets, and strategies for resource allocation.

• Ensure that hospitals and clinics comply with healthcare Environment of Care accreditation and fire/life/safety regulations.

• Facilitate the onboarding and training of new Hospital Facilities leadership.

• Offer mentoring and advisory support to Facilities leadership.

• Carry out regular on-site assessments of hospitals.

• Review hospital Environment of Care recordkeeping.

• Engage in new hospital construction, leadership and staff orientation, onboarding, and preparation for survey readiness.

• Collaborate with corporate and national interdisciplinary teams.

• Travel frequently between various locations.

• Ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.

• Perform additional duties to enhance organizational effectiveness.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in facilities/EOC within a healthcare setting is required.

• At least 3 years’ experience in a facilities leadership role is mandatory.

• Experience in a hospital or IRF is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing multiple hospital sites is preferred.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or Healthcare Administration is preferred.

• CHESP or ASHE Health Care Physical Environmental Worker certification is highly preferred.

• Certification or licensure in plumbing, HVAC, air conditioning, electrician, or a related field is preferred.

• A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and insurability are required.

• Strong knowledge of city, state, and federal standards, codes, regulations, occupational hazards, and safety measures is essential.

• Familiarity with CMS Conditions of Participation, Joint Commission standards, NFPA codes, OSHA requirements, and EPA regulations is required.

• Ability to interpret and apply codes within healthcare settings.

• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare facility systems, including HVAC, fire suppression, and emergency power systems.

• Capability to lead regulatory survey readiness and respond to audits and inspections.

• Proficiency in managing emergency preparedness programs and responding to crises.

• Ability to align Facilities operations with organizational objectives.

• Skill in partnering with clinical, infection control, quality, safety, and operations leaders.

• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.

• Effective communication skills to convey information and ideas clearly.

• Willingness to travel frequently between locations.

• Physical capability to walk, bend, reach, push, and pull for both brief and extended periods.

• Ability to perform both gross and fine motor functions.

• Capacity to lift or exert up to 50 lbs.

• Close vision and the ability to adjust focus as needed.

• Ability to work in environments with heat, cold, loud noise, restricted spaces, pinch points, and moving parts.
