
National Accounts Regional Sales Manager – West Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +10 more states.
• Propel sales expansion and implement Clearfield’s National Accounts commercial strategy across designated Tier 1 and Tier 2 telecom providers and national MSOs in the Western region.
• Oversee regional sales operations within assigned national telecom and MSO accounts.
• Carry out strategic directives from National Account Managers and convert account strategies into regional actions.
• Maintain a field presence throughout regional offices, warehouses, central offices, distribution branches, and active job sites.
• Act as the primary field liaison for decision-makers and influencers at assigned customer sites.
• Cultivate relationships across engineering, outside plant, construction, operations, supply chain, and procurement sectors.
• Conduct territory prospecting, initiate cold calls, and engage in account mapping.
• Present value-driven sales presentations and proposals customized to align with customer network architecture and deployment plans.
• Collaborate with authorized distribution and channel partners to enhance pull-through and uphold approved vendor and material list standings.
• Assist in closing deals and managing post-sale follow-ups.
• Provide timely updates in CRM regarding sales activities, pipeline development, and customer interactions.
• Work in tandem with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Experience teams.
• Keep abreast of fiber broadband technologies, regulatory influences, funding initiatives, and deployment trends.
• Represent Clearfield at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and field installations.
• Minimum of five years of outside sales experience, showcasing a history of meeting or surpassing quotas in a field-based territory role.
• Resides within the designated territory.
• Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time, including overnight trips.
• Demonstrated ability to establish trusted relationships and influence stakeholders in engineering, operations, and procurement.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship management abilities.
• Competence in using CRM platforms and sales pipeline management tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Broadband experience is highly desirable, particularly in FTTH, fiber connectivity, or broadband network deployments.
• Familiarity with Tier 1 and Tier 2 telecom and MSO organizational frameworks, procurement processes, and regional deployment strategies.
• Experience in selling through authorized distribution and channel partners to support national account strategies.
• Knowledge of outside plant construction methodologies, fiber deployment techniques, and materials specification cycles.
• Established relationships with telecom or MSO decision-makers in the Western region.
• Experience in supporting private label or OEM partnership initiatives.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
