
National Accounts Regional Sales Manager – North East Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +12 more states.
• Propel sales growth and implement Clearfield’s National Accounts commercial strategy across designated Tier 1 and Tier 2 telecom providers and national MSOs within the North East region.
• Oversee regional sales activities for assigned national telecom and MSO accounts.
• Implement strategic directives from National Account Managers and convert account plans into regional initiatives.
• Maintain a field presence across various regional offices, warehouses, central offices, distribution branches, and active job sites.
• Act as the primary field liaison for decision-makers and influencers at assigned customer locations.
• Cultivate relationships across engineering, outside plant, construction, operations, supply chain, and procurement sectors.
• Conduct territory prospecting, cold calling, and account mapping activities.
• Present value-based sales presentations and proposals customized to customer network architecture and deployment strategies.
• Collaborate with authorized distribution and channel partners to enhance pull-through and uphold approved vendor and material-list positions.
• Assist in deal closure and provide post-sale follow-up support.
• Ensure timely updates in CRM regarding sales activities, pipeline development, and customer interactions.
• Work in conjunction with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Experience teams.
• Remain updated on fiber broadband technologies, regulatory factors, funding programs, and deployment trends.
• Represent Clearfield at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and field installations.
• A minimum of five years of outside sales experience, demonstrating a history of meeting or exceeding quotas in a field-based territory role.
• Reside within the assigned territory.
• Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time, including overnight trips.
• Proven aptitude for establishing trusted relationships and influencing stakeholders in engineering, operations, and procurement.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management abilities.
• Proficient in CRM platforms and sales pipeline management tools.
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Broadband experience is highly preferred, particularly in selling FTTH, fiber connectivity, or broadband network deployments.
• Familiarity with Tier 1 and Tier 2 telecom and MSO organizational frameworks, procurement processes, and regional deployment models.
• Experience selling through authorized distribution and channel partners to support national account strategies.
• Understanding of outside plant construction practices, fiber deployment techniques, and materials specification cycles.
• Established relationships with telecom or MSO decision-makers in the West region.
• Experience in supporting private label or OEM partnership programs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
