This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.
• Drive strategic growth by overseeing key national accounts.
• Meet sales and gross margin objectives.
• Discover new business opportunities and assist in achieving acquisition and revenue targets.
• Provide support to 3PL customers.
• Engage in daily cold-call outreach, customer prospecting, and follow-up via phone, email, and messaging services.
• Generate reports on business transactions, rate requests, and sales leads.
• Present researched presentations highlighting features and associated benefits.
• Be prepared to travel up to 12 days each month across designated territories in Canada and the Western United States.
• Engage with high-volume, high-revenue accounts to sustain and expand business while informing clients of new services and company updates.
• Negotiate significant contracts and create tender packages that include rate proposals, company information, equipment, and financials.
• Keep an eye on customer and competitor developments, recommending solutions for shipping, packaging, cost-saving, time-saving, revenue-enhancing, and efficiency improvements.
• Manage approximately $10–15 million in annual gross revenue across roughly 100–150 accounts.
• Address customer concerns, complaints, and requests promptly.
• Collect customer data related to density, packaging, volumes, and other pertinent details.
• Over 5 years of sales experience or relevant industry background.
• Strong preference for candidates with 3PL experience.
• Highly self-motivated and results-oriented.
• Must exhibit excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (both written and verbal), analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated high cognitive and emotional intelligence.
• Proficient negotiation skills.
• Capability to acquire a strong understanding and practical knowledge of CCFS markets, contracts, pricing publications, and competitors.
• Ability to develop a solid understanding of CCFS infrastructure and operational characteristics.
• Must be able to gain a comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of CCFS information and reporting systems.
• Ability to understand interline partner systems, functionalities, and procedures effectively.
• Must have a strong grasp of transportation industry dynamics, including CCFS pricing mechanisms and costing systems.
