📋 Description

• Localize, translate, and adapt multimedia, legal, technical, and marketing content in accordance with style guides.

• Create copy for music, television, app store, video-on-demand, and game subscription products.

• Conduct linguistic reviews of both personal and team localization efforts.

• Edit and fact-check content to ensure accuracy.

• Execute localization QA testing on live platforms.

• Research market-specific content treatment, terminology trends, and best practices in localization.

• Transcribe spoken content, such as song lyrics.

• Report on data and assets across various media and content types.

• Evaluate linguistic assessments and develop training materials and project documentation.

• Train localization team members on terminology, style, and best practices.

• Collaborate with global language teams through virtual meetings and email to align on terminology and style.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/BA and over 2 years of experience in journalism, copywriting, or editing media content such as music, television, and applications, with writing samples as proof.

• Experience in the translation and localization of multimedia content.

• Strong ability to swiftly identify issues and inconsistencies within extensive content and make informed judgement calls based on available information.

• Broad understanding of music artists, television, cinema, gaming, and pop culture.

• Capability to take ownership of the language market and confidently make linguistic decisions.

• Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Strong computer skills; familiarity with iOS/macOS systems is an advantage.

• Proficient typing in their native language using a local English keyboard.

• Ability to work independently and remotely.

• Collaborative and comfortable in a multicultural working environment.
