This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.
β’ Localize, translate, and adapt multimedia, legal, technical, and marketing content in accordance with established style guides and guidelines.
β’ Create copy for multimedia products, including music, television, app store applications, video-on-demand, and game subscription services.
β’ Review personal work as well as that of other members of the localization team across various content types.
β’ Edit and fact-check content to ensure precision and accuracy.
β’ Conduct Localization QA testing on content that has been published on live platforms.
β’ Research market-specific content treatment, product terminology trends, and best practices in localization.
β’ Transcribe spoken content such as lyrics.
β’ Compile reports on data and assets across different media and content types.
β’ Review linguistic assessments and develop training materials and documentation for new projects.
β’ Provide training to localization team counterparts on terminology, style, and best practices.
β’ Collaborate with global language teams through virtual meetings and email regarding content reviews, terminology, style, trends, market insights, and translations.
β’ BS/BA degree and at least 2 years of experience in journalism, copywriting, or copyediting media content such as music, television, and applications, with evidence of writing samples.
β’ Experience in the translation and localization of multimedia content.
β’ Ability to swiftly identify issues and inconsistencies within large volumes of content and make informed judgment calls based on the information available.
β’ Extensive knowledge of music artists, television and cinema, gaming, and pop culture.
β’ Capability to take ownership of the language market and make confident linguistic decisions.
β’ Highly detail-oriented, with strong multitasking abilities, prioritization skills, and a track record of meeting deadlines.
β’ Proficiency in written and spoken English.
β’ Strong computer skills; knowledge of iOS/macOS systems is advantageous.
β’ Ability to type in a native-level language using a local English keyboard.
β’ Capacity to work independently and remotely.
β’ Collaborative mindset and comfortable working in a multicultural team environment.
