MSL Field Medical Director, Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the skills of Field Medical Team members in the multiple myeloma therapeutic area.

• Convert medical and therapeutic area strategies into regional field priorities and actionable plans.

• Set benchmarks for scientific exchange, healthcare professional insights, Scientific Intelligence, and compliant field operations.

• Assess and elevate insights from healthcare professionals and Scientific Intelligence gathered from the field to guide medical planning and identify evidence needs.

• Provide continuous coaching and feedback to enhance scientific capability, judgment, and communication skills.

• Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Health Impact leadership to ensure regional execution aligns with medical objectives and evidence strategies.

• Work in partnership with cross-functional teams through the In-Field Team (IFT).

• Track regional field activities, the quality of insights, and performance trends to uncover opportunities for improvement.

• Assist in talent development, onboarding, and succession planning efforts.

• Conduct regular field ride observations with all direct-report MSLs.

• Manage the territory encompassing New England, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced scientific degree is required: PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent experience.

• A strong grasp of the multiple myeloma disease area, clinical evidence, and the role of Field Medical within Medical Affairs.

• Experience in Field Medical, Medical Affairs, scientific, or healthcare roles within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.

• Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and developing field-based scientific professionals.

• Experience in translating medical strategies into field execution and performance expectations.

• Proficient in interpreting and utilizing field-identified insights to inform medical or evidence planning.

• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional partners within Medical Affairs and the In-Field Team (IFT).

• Remote candidates must reside within the territory and be near an international airport.
