MRO Buyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire transactional procurement process from requisition through to the closure of purchase orders.

• Place orders, liaise with suppliers, monitor deliveries, and address any operational challenges.

• Maintain metrics for procurement performance to ensure seamless operations.

• Manage supplier selection processes and conduct negotiations to fulfill quality, service, and cost criteria.

• Negotiate contracts with suppliers while monitoring their performance and adherence to contract terms.

• Execute sourcing projects aimed at standardization, utilization of preferred suppliers, cost reduction, and improving operational efficiency.

• Develop processes for Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Requests for Quotations (RFQ) for products and services.

• Acquire goods and services in a cost-effective manner while upholding quality, delivery schedules, and project priorities.

• Initiate and coordinate programs aimed at cost reduction, achieving targeted savings.

• Formulate and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for designated spend categories.

• Align stakeholders and internal teams to ensure successful execution of projects.

• Provide assistance on additional specific projects as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree, preferably nearing completion.

• Experience in project management.

• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing.

• Expertise in negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing methodologies.

• Advanced level of English, specifically conversational C1.

• Strong analytical abilities and computer proficiency.

• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Experience across various industry sectors is preferable.
