MRI Technologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage ROCC Magnetic Resonance operations at SimonMed Imaging centers within the designated region

• Execute general and advanced MRI imaging procedures

• Provide support to onsite positioning technologists as required

• Verify orders for completeness and schedule examinations as necessary

• Assess exam priority based on the information available

• Operate MRI scanners along with associated console and peripheral equipment

• Choose suitable imaging techniques and protocols

• Input and track patient data

• Generate images, film records, backups, and transmit studies to PACS and storage devices

• Ensure accurate study documentation

• Assist in MR safety screening and the manipulation of implant-specific protocols

• Act as the technical contact for ROCC positioners and onsite technologists

• Conduct and finalize QA/QC checklists

• Monitor and rectify assigned NTTs

• Interact with patients, staff, and caregivers in a professional manner

• Comply with departmental policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory standards

⛳️ Requirements

• MRI certification and registration

• Current ARRT or ARMRIT certification

• Valid “Hands On” CPR certification

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or a related area

• Proficiency in both general and advanced imaging procedures

• Familiarity with magnetic resonance imaging procedures and technologies

• Capability to perform MR procedures with minimal supervision

• Ability to safely operate MRI equipment and adhere to protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory standards

• Competence in conducting MR safety screenings and adjusting protocols for active/passive implants

• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds

• Capacity to work in an environment with competing deadlines and priorities

• Ability to function in a high-pressure environment

• Bachelor's degree in relevant specialty (preferred)
