Mortgage Loan Originator – Outside

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Generate residential mortgage loans in alignment with company standards and lending regulations.

• Perform interviews with borrowers to collect financial data and evaluate eligibility.

• Assess applicant financial documents to identify suitable loan programs.

• Provide clients with information about loan products, terms, and procedures.

• Submit comprehensive loan applications for processing, approval, and underwriting.

• Keep precise records within the loan origination system.

• Follow up with clients, processors, and underwriters to ensure progression.

• Work collaboratively with internal departments to facilitate seamless loan closings.

• Achieve set productivity and quality targets.

• Stay informed about lending policies, compliance requirements, and industry developments.

• Assist in loan production efforts within the branch without direct oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Valid NMLS license as mandated by state and federal regulations.

• Prior experience in mortgage lending or financial services is preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.

• Knowledge of loan origination systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Must comply with Outside Sales Exemption criteria under the FLSA and relevant state regulations.

• A considerable amount of time should be spent engaging in sales activities outside the employer’s location.
