Mortgage Loan Originator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Generate residential mortgage loans in line with company policies and lending laws

• Assist in the loan production efforts within the branch

• Conduct interviews with borrowers to collect financial data and evaluate eligibility

• Analyze applicant financial documents to identify suitable loan programs

• Inform clients about loan products, terms, and processes

• Submit comprehensive loan applications for processing, approval, and underwriting

• Keep precise records within the loan origination system

• Follow up with clients, processors, and underwriters

• Work alongside internal departments to facilitate seamless loan closings

• Achieve established productivity and quality targets

• Stay updated on lending policies, compliance requirements, and industry developments

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent

• Valid NMLS license as mandated by state and federal laws

• Prior experience in mortgage lending or financial services is preferred

• College coursework or a degree is preferred

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

• Capability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting

• Familiarity with loan origination systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Must satisfy Outside Sales Exemption criteria under the Fair Labor Standards Act and relevant state regulations

• A significant amount of time will be spent on sales activities away from the employer’s office
